Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, Dubai marked the brand’s first hotel in the UAE, bringing its distinctive approach to luxury hospitality to Dubai’s beachfront. Designed by DESIGNWILKES, the interiors balance contemporary refinement with influences drawn from the hotel’s position between East and West. The project received international recognition, winning the LIV Hospitality Design Award for Luxury Hotel Interior Design and Gold at the MUSE Design Awards for Hotel Interior Design. Working closely with DESIGNWILKES, Vann-FID developed the bespoke “Silk Road” art concept and delivered more than 2,700 curated and bespoke artworks across guestrooms and public areas. Drawing on Dubai’s historic position between East and West, the collection explored cultural and natural references through stone, wood, silk, metal, feathers, works on paper, canvas, and sculpture. Vann-FID also designed, engineered, and supplied over 3,000 bespoke decorative lighting fixtures throughout the hotel, from statement chandeliers to pendants, wall lights, and table lamps. Together, the art and lighting programmeme established a cohesive visual language across the property, reflecting Vann-FID’s integrated approach to Light & Art.
