MAYG

Dubai, UAE

Enchanted Sky reimagines the ceiling of MAYG, a Japanese-French dining destination in Dubai Design District, as a living cloudscape. Conceived from the vision of bringing the French sky to Dubai, the bespoke Light-Art installation becomes a defining architectural feature, reflecting the meeting of French and Japanese influences within the interior concept.

Spanning 28.5 metres in length and 6.1 metres in width, the installation is formed from 138 individually shaped bespoke acrylic panels in varying textures, opacities and tones, with no two identical. Commissioned cloud imagery is integrated within selected elements, while pendant light sources illuminate the composition from within, creating shifting layers of transparency, reflection and movement.

Enchanted Sky transforms the ceiling into an immersive part of the dining experience, with light and atmosphere evolving across the space. The installation received industry recognition at the CID Hospitality Awards 2026, where Vann-FID won Best Use of Lighting in an F&B Project and received Highly Commended for Best Use of Art in an F&B Project.
