As part of the refurbishment of Shangri-La Dubai, the guestrooms and suites were reimagined by Hirsch Bedner Associates (HBA), bringing a refreshed contemporary character to the five-star hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road. The interiors combine a refined residential quality with the comfort and detailing expected of the Shangri-La hospitality experience. Working closely with ROYA Hospitality, Vann-FID developed and supplied the complete bespoke decorative lighting package for the guestrooms. The scope comprised 1,649 custom-made lighting fixtures, developed through detailed coordination to translate the design intent into a consistent lighting collection while meeting the technical, quality, and durability requirements of a large-scale luxury hotel refurbishment. Designed specifically for the guestroom environment, the collection brought together decorative presence, warm illumination, and carefully considered materials and proportions to complement the interiors. The project reflects Vann-FID’s experience in bespoke hotel lighting design, development, and supply, combining customized solutions with the technical coordination and production capability required for major hospitality projects.
