W Dubai – Mina Seyahi reinterprets the spirit of Arabian storytelling through the bold and contemporary lens of the W brand. Located along Dubai’s coastline, the hotel combines vibrant social energy with layered cultural references, creating an experience that is both playful and rooted in place. Designed by BLINK Design Group, the project was recognized with the LIV Hospitality Design Award for Guestrooms. Working closely with the client, hotel operator and design team, Vann-FID provided art consultancy and supply for the guestrooms and public areas, delivering 1,230 artworks alongside 2,705 decorative objects, accessories, and sculptures. Inspired by the timeless tales of One Thousand and One Nights, the collection adopted Scheherazade as its narrative anchor, guiding guests through a contemporary journey shaped by folklore, imagination, and discovery. Elements of local heritage, calligraphy, abstract expression, and symbolic characters were translated into a visual language celebrating the UAE as a crossroads between East and West. Among the defining features of the program was the bespoke guestroom welcome installation, inspired by the theatrical spirit and storytelling masks of Scheherazade. Conceived as more than a decorative object, the piece was designed to spark curiosity from the moment guests entered the room, transforming arrival into part of the experience.
