Westin Mina Seyahi Resort & Marina

Dubai, UAE

The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Resort & Marina was reimagined by Stickman Tribe as the residence of a fictional collector, with its ten-storey central atrium conceived as a dramatic conservatory. Recognised with the LIV Hospitality Design Award 2021 for Luxury Hotel Interior Design, the project combines storytelling, architecture and craftsmanship.

Working closely with Stickman Tribe, Vann-FID designed, engineered and delivered a bespoke Light-Art installation extending nearly 38 metres through the atrium. Inspired by birds moving through a garden during rainfall, the composition culminates in an 8.2-metre-wide chandelier formed from illuminated glass droplets and birds captured in different stages of flight.

Bespoke nests, bird sculptures and illuminated elements continue along the central suspension structure at successive levels, turning a technical necessity into a continuous artistic narrative. Experienced from changing vantage points throughout the atrium, the installation unites architecture, light and storytelling as a defining feature of the hotel’s interior identity.
